Our mission is to uncover the mystique of outdoor exploration through venturing into the heart of Colorado’s backcountry. Our aim is to produce a quality and memorable experience for all outdoor enthusiasts. Education and safety are top priority as we strive to deliver a world class five-star guest experience.
DONATIONS
It is extremely important that we serve the backcountry skiing and snowmobiling community by providing our services free of charge. Backcountry travel is at an all-time high with many newcomers being introduced to the environment. We provide educational opportunities, on-site demonstrations, route tours, wreckage towing, trail guidance, and snowmobile access skiing courses. Additionally, your donations allow Elevate Backcountry to provide mountain exposure to our youth program participants. 100% of every donation goes directly to support our programming and services. SAFETY METHODS
The first source to green light our operations for the day is evaluating the avalanche report. This is the single most important action we can take to deliver on our commitment to safety. Our mountain hosts monitor the daily avalanche report issued from the Colorado Avalanche Information Center. Once receiving the collective approval for exploration, all backcountry safety equipment is provided (Avalanche float backpacks, radios, beacons, shovels, and probes). A mandatory safety orientation will be required to validate familiarity with the backcountry equipment.
The potential for avalanches is always our number one safety concern. We select routes that are appropriate to the condition of the snowpack, time of year, and size of group.
